A traditional course set-up in the heart of Houston. When you first drive-up you notice that this club is very family-oriented with the pool filled with moms and kids. Once on the range, you will see the first three holes that play around the range. The fairways are nicely conditioned and the greens look like carpet. The course is fairly straight forward with a number of doglegs. The 8th hole on the card will appear to be a simple par 5, but plays as a horseshoe around a ravine. For the brave, try and drive over the ravine to a blind section of fairway. If you accomplish this, you will still have a blind shot to the green if you elect to go for it in two. Play it safe and you will be left with a wedge as your approach. The 14th is a long par 3 that plays over the bayou and will require a solid struck shot. Anything mis-hit will have you reloading. Overall, the course is a nice course that will require staying out of the trees off the tee.
