This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how Golf Frontier LLC (“we”) collect and use information, including both personal and anonymous in nature with the Golf Frontier Mobile Application (“mobile app”) and Website (“website”). By using or accessing the mobile app or website you are accepting all provisions and conditions described in this Privacy Policy.
When you create an account using the mobile app or website we collect your email address, password and first and last names. We use your email address and password as your unique login credentials. We also use your email address to send you email notifications periodically. We use your first and last name to identify you for certain social features of the mobile app or website, such as comments or scores of the week.
You may also optionally provide us with your Country, Region and City information. This information is used to refine search results and improve local recommendations for you based on your geographic location.
The mobile app and website collect your golf score and golf statistical information. This information is used to share details of your golfing accomplishments with friends to calculate statistical data that can be used to analyze and improve your golf game, and to calculate your golf handicap. Use of the scoring and statistic tracking features are completely optional.
The mobile app uses Background Location Permissions, but only within “Play” mode, to provide timely and accurate distance measurements to predefined and on-demand targets when playing a round of golf. The mobile app also uses background updates to automatically advance to the next hole when you are nearing completion of the previous hole.
It is possible to use the mobile app with the Location access set to “Only While using the App”, however this will make the application less performant, and will require a delay of potentially several seconds each time the application is returned to the foreground to re-acquire the current location and measure accurate distances.
The mobile app DOES NOT use background location unless you are playing a round of golf (ie, in “Play” mode). The mobile app does not store your location data, all features that utilize location data work with your current location only.
We do not share your personal information with 3rd parties. From time to time, we may enter into an agreement with a reputable organization to send you an email on their behalf for products or services that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive these emails, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link included at the bottom of the email message.
We may disclose personal information collected if we have received your permission beforehand or when such disclosure is required by law.
The website uses cookies to record session information so that you do not have to log in every time you visit. Some 3rd party cookies are also used by the website, these include Google AdSense, Analytics and reCAPTCHA. For more information on these products, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy.
We take security very seriously. All communication between client devices and the mobile app or website are encrypted via SSL. We follow industry standard conventions when managing new user authentication, password reset and password management.
Golf Frontier LLC reserves the right, to modify, alter, or update this Privacy Policy agreement at any time without prior notice. Modifications shall become effective immediately upon being posted in the mobile app or website. Your continued use of the mobile app or website after Privacy Policy changes are posted constitutes an acknowledgement and acceptance of the Privacy Policy and its modifications.
